KI Launches 4th Annual Classroom Furniture Giveaway, Awarding $200K to Transform K–12 Learning Spaces

GREEN BAY, Wis. (FNN) – As schools nationwide prepare to welcome students this fall, KI, a Wisconsin-based contract furniture company, announced the launch of its fourth annual Classroom Furniture Giveaway. Four K–12 educators across the country will each be awarded $50,000 in furniture and design solutions to reimagine and transform their classrooms and learning environments.

This year’s program goes beyond simple upgrades—it seeks to tackle challenges facing education today, including teacher burnout, declining student engagement, and outdated classrooms that haven’t been refreshed in decades.

Reimagining the Classroom for Modern Learning
“Classrooms are the engine rooms of learning, yet many don’t reflect how students learn today,” said Bryan Ballegeer, KI’s vice president of education markets. “Rigid rows of desks don’t support creativity or collaboration. This giveaway empowers educators to design flexible spaces that foster innovation, well-being, and meaningful learning.”

The program is open to all K–12 spaces, from classrooms and libraries to makerspaces and esports labs. Three of the winning entries will focus on individual classrooms, while the fourth will transform a library or media center.

Transformative Impact on Students and Teachers
Each year, hundreds of teachers submit their vision of a “dream classroom.” Winners receive a full redesign using KI’s innovative portfolio, including:

  • Cogni™ Seating, which encourages movement, mobility, and sensory engagement.
  • Clamber™ Tiered Seating, a modular system that reclaims space while supporting collaboration.

Previous winners have reported improved student well-being, engagement, and collaboration, as well as stronger teacher-student connections and increased excitement for learning.

“The impact goes far beyond furniture,” Ballegeer added. “When educators can shape environments around their students’ needs, the results are powerful and lasting.”

How Educators Can Apply
Educators are invited to use KI’s Classroom Planner tool to design their dream spaces and submit entries at ki.com/giveaway.

  • Entry period: Sept. 19 – Oct. 17, 2025.
  • Finalists announced: November 2025, followed by a public vote.
  • Winners revealed: Nov. 19, 2025, with installations completed in 2026.

By placing the design power in teachers’ hands, KI reinforces the importance of the physical classroom as a critical factor in student success and educator well-being.
