State Representative Daisy Morales gets key committee assignments

ORLANDO, Fla. (FNN NEWS) – On Friday, Florida House Speaker Chris Sprowls issued committee and subcommittee assignments to members of the Florida House of Representatives for the 2021 Session.

Representative Daisy Morales (D-Orlando) received her first committee assignments as a newly-elected State Representative.  Representative Morales was assigned: Education & Employment Committee; Post‐Secondary Education & Lifelong Learning Subcommittee; Finance & Facilities Subcommittee, and Agriculture & Natural Resources Appropriations Subcommittee.

Representative Morales stated: “I am excited to be assigned to these four committees.  As a newly-elected House Representative I look forward to doing the work for the State of Florida. I am especially excited to sit on the Post-Secondary Education & Lifelong Learning Subcommittee. Reducing high unemployment in our community is a primary focus and this subcommittee examines policies that connect employers to job seekers and will provide individuals with opportunities to obtain the skills necessary to respond to the changing demands of today’s workforce.”

In addition, the Speaker’s Office also plans to release the House COVID‐19 protocols for the January and February committee weeks.
