Congressman Charlie Crist Joins Buccaneers Super Bowl LV Victory Parade
TAMPA, Fla. (FNN SPORTS) – US Congressman and former Florida Governor Charlie Crist joined fans as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers celebrated their Super Bowl LV victory Wednesday afternoon with a boat parade.
The parade was held on the Hillsborough River near downtown Tampa. Fans arrived on paddleboards, jet skis and floating tiki huts.
US Congressman Charlie Crist’s posted on Facebook on the Bucs win:
“Today was a great day in the Bay Area, celebrating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and their amazing Super Bowl win alongside my sisters Cathy Kennedy, Elizabeth and her husband, Tedd Poore, as well as my sister in service, Congresswoman Kathy Castor. Go Bucs!”
The parade route started at Armature Works and ended at Sparkman Wharf.
Public viewing areas included the Riverwalk from Armature Works to Harbour Island, the sidewalk along Blake High School and the waterside parks along the route excluding Plant Park and Julian B. Lane Park.
Masks were required in all event zones and entertainment districts including downtown and along the Tampa Riverwalk per Mayor Castor’s executive order.
However, many were seen maskless despite the ordinances requiring them.
Crist joined Tampa Mayor Jane Castor in celebration, who in fact wore her mask during the course of the celebration.
