A Return to the Spotlight After a significant hiatus from the music scene, Reeves embarked on his musical resurgence with a handful of demo songs. However, his unbridled passion fueled the creation of not one but three albums, showcasing a remarkable roster of musicians that create the nucleus of David Wayne Reeves and the Republic, including: Paul Roessler, producer and musician who first gained notoriety in the ‘80s with the LA Punk Rock scene with the band The Screamers; multi-instrumentalist, producer, singer, songwriter Fernando Perdomo who has worked with Jakob Dylan, Fiona Apple, Beck and many others; Warner Brothers ADAR sound engineer, drummer David Bach who has worked with Jackson Browne, Waddy Wachtel, Adam Sandler and many others; and Chad Watson, a well-respected bass player who has toured with Ronnie MIlspa, Charlie Rich and Delaney and Bonnie. Reeves albums also feature collaborations with several world class artists including: Grammy winning percussionist Munyungo Jackson whose credits include Herbie Hancock, Chaka Kahn, George Benson, Stevie Wonder and many others; saxphone and flute specialist, Louis Van Taylor who has performed with Kool and The Gang, Ray Charles, The Four Tops, The Temptations, Michael Bolton and many others; world touring Grammy Award winning singer, songwriter Kitten Kuroi, famous for her work with Elvis Costello & The Imposters, Billy Idol, and Engelbert Humperdinck; violinist Scarlett Rivera, famous for her work on Bob Dylan’s Desire Album, and two-time Grammy winning operatic soprano singer Hila Plitmann. A Fresh Perspective The California native writes his own music from his home in Topanga Canyon, California, and records with engineer/producer/musician Paul Roseller. Reeves work is firmly rooted in the Southern California vibe, with an abundance of infectious hooks and unforgettable choruses, remaining true to the timeless essence of the songs and albums that defined the golden era of the L.A. rock and folk-rock scene in the 1970s.
