ORLANDO, Fla. (FNN) – Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer endorsed Orlando District 5 Commissioner Regina Hill for re-election Tuesday at an intimate political fundraiser in Downtown Orlando.

A crowd of roughly twenty attendees gathered at The Abbey downtown to support Commissioner Hill in her bid for a third term on the Orlando City Council, including philanthropist and community leader Dick Batchelor. “We used to called James Brown the hardest working man in show business. Well, I call Commissioner Hill the hardest working woman in politics,” Batchelor told FNN News in an interview Tuesday.

“The fact that Mayor Dyer acknowledges the work I’ve done over the last eight years means a lot to me,” Commissioner Hill told FNN New after receiving his endorsement. “That’s not a small endorsement. And I look forward to continuing to serve with Mayor on the City Council.”

Commissioner Hill will be on the ballot for the Novembr 2, 2021 election. So far she has one opponent, Shaniqua Rose, who filed to run on May 10, 2021.
