The stars were out in L.A. this morning to promote The Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show, featuring performances from Dr. Dre, Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and Mary J. Blige. Sixty percent of this new hip hop supergroup gathered at the Convention Center to talk about their upcoming performance. It’s the 11th year of the Pepsi Halftime Show. But this is the first time featuring hip-hop performers. “This should have happened a long time ago,” according to Dr. Dre, who wants to open the door for more hip-hop acts. “We’re gonna show how professional we can be… how dope we can be.” He also told the reporters that he “has been manifesting the Rams since the beginning of the season.” So, he’s happy to be performing in the Super Bowl halftime show with the home team in the game. He called the first rehearsal, “surprisingly fantastic.” He also revealed that there would be surprises, without giving away any details. Snoop Dogg promised “No wardrobe malfunctions.”

When asked to describe the halftime show in one word, Dr. Dre took the liberty of adding a second word, saying it would be “F—in’ Incredible.”  Mary J. Blige reiterated Dre’s sentiment, while Snoop called it “Maginifico.”
