ORLANDO, Fla. (FNN NEWS) – The 2024 Little League World Series Champions, the Lake Mary Little League All-Stars, were honored as Grand Marshals of the Festival of Fantasy Parade at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom on Thursday. This special event marked a memorable celebration, similar to the tradition of professional sports teams celebrating their victories at Disney parks.
The young champions, along with their coaches, paraded through the park in their baseball uniforms, joining Disney favorites Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy on various floats. The parade route took them through Frontierland and Adventureland, past Cinderella’s Castle, and down Main Street U.S.A., delighting fans and visitors alike.
The Lake Mary team earned this honor after an impressive run in the Little League World Series. They clinched the U.S. Championship by defeating Texas and then went on to secure the World Series title with a thrilling 2-1 victory over Chinese Taipei in extra innings.
