ORLANDO, Fla. (FNN) – FNNNews.com announces that its new Spanish language arm, FNN News en Español,  to serve the Latin American audience in the US and other Spanish-speaking markets around the world. The new site will officially launch on September 15, 2021.

That launch date has a special meaning: September 15 marks the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs until October 15.

“The FNN News Network has a long and beautiful relationship with the Hispanic community, so creating FNN News en Español was a no-brainer,” said FNN News Network founder and CEO J Willie David, III. “This community is rich and vibrant and deserves to receive quality news coverage from FNN News in their language.”

FNN News en Español will begin as a category on the FNNNews.com site, easily accessible from the website’s top menu, and offer Spanish articles, videos, shows and broadcast live content on sports, politics, business, entertainment, lifestyle, and faith and family.

The US Hispanic population reached a record 60.6 million in 2019, up 930,000 over the previous year and up from 50.7 million in 2010, according to the most recent US Census Bureau population estimates.

Juan Carlo Rodriguez Named Content Coordinator

Juan Carlo Rodriguez, who joined the Florida National News in January 2021, will be working alongside FNN News Network Managing Director Mellissa Thomas to facilitate the growth of FNN News en Español as its Content Coordinator.

Rodriguez, a native of Venezuela, brings years of journalistic experience to the role and is bilingual, having published articles with FNN News Network in both English and Spanish. He began as a politics and entertainment reporter for Florida National News, part of the FNN News Network.

“I’m excited for this launch and the network’s continued growth,” said Thomas Thursday. “The Hispanic community has strongly supported our English side, so it’s only right to present them with a news hub from the FNN News family that speaks directly to them.”
