Tampa Bay Buccaneers Dominate Miami Dolphins 45-17

TAMPA BAY, Fla. (FNN SPORTS) – The Buccaneers entered Sunday’s game with the advantage and Miami entered with something to prove.
First Half
With 3:16 left in the first quarter, the Dolphins clapped back with a touchdown of their own–on top of the early field goal. Score: 10-7 Miami.
The Bucs wasted no time with their reply at the start of the second quarter with their own field goal, tying the score at 10.
On the next possession, the Bucs widened their lead with Brady’s 62-yard touchdown pass to Antonio Brown. Fun fact: that play was Brady’s longest completion since 2018 and Brown’s longest reception since 2018.
In the final two minutes of the first half, Brady found a fast and wide open Brown for the four-yard touchdown pass, bringing the score to 24-10 Tampa Bay.
On the Dolphins’ next possession, both the Bucs and the Dolphins lost players to injuries. The Bucs lost Lavonte David, who went down with an ankle injury and was ruled out for the remainder of the game. The Dolphins lost Shaheen, who left the field with a knee injury and was ruled questionable.
Second Half
The Dolphins finally got their next touchdown in the third quarter with Jacoby Brissett’s one-yard pass to Miles Gaskin. After the extra point, Miami’s deficit shrank to seven, 24-17.
The Bucs got their next touchdown in the fourth touchdown with Brady’s five-yard touchdown pass to Leonard Fournette, making the score 31-17 after the extra point. The Bucs furthered their lead in the 11th minute of the fourth with Brady’s 34-yard touchdown pass to Mike Evans.
To make matters worse for the Dolphins, Brissett’s pass intended for Jaylen Waddle got intercepted by Jamel Dean.
Once the Bucs began their drive, they nearly beat themselves with two false starts. They went from being only one yard away from the next first down to 11 yards away. The third play at 2nd and 11 made up for it: Brady found Mike Evans a third time for a 23-yard touchdown pass. The score with just shy of nine minutes left in the game: 45-17.
Neither team scored thereafter, therefore cementing that score and giving the Bucs their first definitive victory of the season.
