Florida Senator files bill to end Governor DeSantis control over Disney district

ORLANDO, Fla. (FNN NEWS) – Orange County State Legislative Delegation held a public meeting Wednesday morning in Orlando. Three Republicans, Senators Jason Brodeur and Dennis Baxley, along with Rep. Doug Bankson walked out of the meeting, because they were upset with the delegation’s rules for picking leaders.

The walk out happen before Democratic State Senator Linda Stewart asked the remaining delegation to support a local bill to undo Governor Ron DeSantis control over Disney’s Reedy Creek Improvement District.

The Democrats voted to approve the local bill 7-0, but later rendered invalid due to a lack of a quorum.
