MLB: Baltimore Orioles Announce 2024 Regular Season Schedule

BALTIMORE, Md. (FNN SPORTS) – The Orioles today announced their 2024 regular season schedule. The team opens at home Thursday, March 28, against the Los Angeles Angels. After three games against the Angels, Baltimore will continue its opening homestand with a three-game set against the Kansas City Royals from April 1-3. The Orioles go on their first road trip with three games in Pittsburgh from April 5-7, followed by a three-game set in Boston from April 9-11.

The Orioles will open a season at home for the first time since 2018, after a four-season streak of openers on the road. The O’s have gone 32-13 in season openers at home since 1954 and have won each of their last six and 12 of their last 13.

The Orioles will play four series against each AL (American League) East team, two at home and two on the road, for a total of 13 games against each divisional rival. Baltimore will host the Red Sox and Yankees at Oriole Park for seven games and the Rays and Blue Jays for six games. The O’s will have a 23-game stretch from May 27 to June 20 in which they will play 17 games against the AL East.

Baltimore’s Weekend Matches

Baltimore will host 14 weekend series, including four against American League East foes: the Rays (May 31 to June 2 and September 6-8), Yankees (July 12-14), and Red Sox (August 15-18).

Holiday Schedule

The 2023 home schedule features five games played on holidays, including Easter Sunday (March 31 vs. Los Angeles Angels), Mother’s Day (May 12 vs. Arizona Diamondbacks), Memorial Day (May 27 vs. Boston Red Sox), Father’s Day (June 16 vs. Philadelphia Phillies), and Labor Day (September 2 vs. Chicago White Sox).

Orioles Interleague Opponent Matches

The Orioles will face all 15 National League teams in 2024. Baltimore hosts the Milwaukee Brewers (April 12-14), Arizona Diamondbacks (May 10-12) for the first time since 2016, Atlanta Braves (June 11-13) for the first time since 2021, Philadelphia Phillies (June 14-16) for the first time since 2018, Chicago Cubs (July 9-11), San Diego Padres (July 26-28) for the first time since 2019, Washington Nationals (August 13-14), and San Francisco Giants (September 17-19) for the first time since 2019. NL road trips include stops against the Pittsburgh Pirates (April 5-7) for the first time since 2017, Cincinnati Reds (May 3-5), Washington Nationals (May 7-8), St. Louis Cardinals (May 20-22), Miami Marlins (July 23-25) and New York Mets (August 19-21) for the first time since 2021, and the Los Angeles Dodgers (August 27-29) and Colorado Rockies (August 30-September 1) for the first time since 2019.

Orioles’ Longest Road Trip 

Baltimore will have one 11-day, 10-game road trip. The team travels to Cleveland, Toronto, and Tampa Bay from August 1-11. Their second-longest road trip will be from June 3-10 when they play in eight straight days with four games apiece in Toronto and Tampa Bay. Baltimore finishes the 2024 regular season with a six-game road trip against the New York Yankees and Minnesota Twins from September 24-29.

Orioles Schedule by the Month 

May and June will feature the busiest months at Oriole Park with 15 home dates each. The Orioles will play their fewest home games during the month of August (10). Baltimore will host three games in March, 14 games in April, and 12 games in July and September. The Orioles will play 43 home games within their first 81 games through June 26.
