SpaceX moves Launch of Dragon Cargo Mission for NASA to the Space Station for Monday

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. (FNN NEWS) – After a two -day weather delay, NASA and SpaceX will launch its 28th cargo mission to the International Space Station on Monday, June 5 at 11:47 a.m. ET. The launch was scheduled for Sunday, June 4 at 12:12 p.m.

Four hours earlier, at 8:20 a.m. ET, SpaceX Falcon 9 launched 22 second-generation Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. This was the third launch and landing for this Falcon 9 first stage booster, which previously launched Crew-6 and SES O3b mPOWER.

CRS-28 will resupply the International Space Station (ISS) with equipment and supplies needed by Station astronauts and hardware for the coming months, as well as science experiments developed by different agencies, companies, and organizations from around the world.

In addition, the Dragon’s payload includes two new iROSA solar panels for the Station.
